Poster I created for Harlow Youth Council.
Protesting against the 2013 Cuts on the Essex Youth services, and to get people to sign there e-petition.
The idea behind the design is Rock, Paper, Scissors.
-Rock beats Scissors-
Something that a younger audience can relate to.
It kind of had to be black and white as there are very limited funds for printing, and the hand rendering effect gives more of an impression that there are real people going to be effected here, rather than just refering to a systematic, button pushing procedure. As beautiful as digital art and typography can be I feel this works better here.
I was asked to come up with a title page for a book by Photogrpher Christoper Tew
http://christophertew.wordpress.com/
It is based on a project he worked on in Colombia, Photographing the people on the streets, reflecting on everyday life for the average citizen of the city.
The idea was not to make it glamorous, but to create an image which can convey both the subject of the streets and the style of photography.
Colombian style pattern for the background onto a piece of ply
Scratched and sanded to give an old weathered feel
Stenciled on Title
